Realm Balance and class question

Hows the realm balace in Regnum? I was thinking about going Alsius but I don't want to join a realm which has no chance in wars.

Also which is the best class for someone new to the game? I was thinking about Marksman, how are they?

First, It is not true that Alsius has no chance at wars.. yes, it may be underpopulated, but they still stand up proudly and give a good fight.
Syrtis has probably the most players, but I don't know exactly the times most of them are on... Overpopulation might also have several disadvantages... (crowded grind spots, less mags available, harder to hit enemy, as it gets instantly killed...)
Igneans play the most often in later hours (20.00+ for me).. because most of the players are westcoast(?)

I hope this helps you to decide, other people might disagree with me...

The other thing you can do is look around realms, you might find out which one is best for you

Thats very helpful, thanks does this game have instances? also would Marksman be a decent starting class?

If you mean dungeons, no. There are none planned in near future.
Marksman is a good class at the moment, due to his high range, decent dammage and armor.

Ballance updates could have strong impact on this class imho. It is also difficult to say how things will be when more people get higher level (There was a "Warmaster" expansion few weeks ago)

Where does high end equipment come from then? I'm gonna go marksman I've always been interested in Archers.

Equipment is obtained by drops (killing creatures sometimes gives items)
marks is a good class... loads of them everywhere atm

Alsius has a new member then we'll meet in warzone

Is Marksman the most played class? I'm not sure if I want to play on Alsius, I don't like the snow setting at all

True, you become an archer first and then you can choose to become either marks or hunter on lvl 10... On the beginning just choose whichever class you like.. You can always start a new one (up to 3 chars, upgradable to 6 for money)

Alsius has snow, syrtis grass and ignis desert :/. If you care about the landscape, Syrtis is probably the most pretiest...

Either marks or barb is the most played class from what I have seen. They are probably the most overpowered atm, but balance updates should change this (next one coming april..?)
