Something strange with armor defence..

I noticed that I have more attack power and more defence then some players, but when we fight (hunter vs hunter) they hit me 200+ damage and I hit them for 15 - 20 damage. We are both lvl 60 as well.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Armor specifications

They wear some tenax and lvl 50 armors - very good vs peirce.

I wear elite armor and 1 part lvl 50 armor - very good vs peirce.

????? I've seen this vs other players in the realm also.


due to this I have been using tear apart and break apart as main attacks.

Could you post both the bows to?

The problem comes from the unadjusted protrection bonus of Evasive Tactis + only item level 60 bows for hunters can do decent damage + the enemy could be wearing a dragon ammy or other OP stuff.

This looks all fine, you should not get hit by 200s normal hits by other hunters when you use evasive tactics 5 and acrobatics 5 unless they are using cold blood or have cast Sudden Strike on you.

Do you have a recent combat log of such occurrence?

Since at level 60 you have much more armor, it seems to be more noticeable.

Mmmmh may be you were testing at samal yesterday....but i was hitting you for 350 normal hit without use cooldblood....
And while i was hitting you for 350 dmg(with magna bow),i was thinking i never hitted so hard.

In my experience,with all gear lvl 49/50 acro4 + evasive 4 on,i have 50/70 dmg from hunters,and 170/250 from marks (in some case i get hitted from some marksman for 300 + dmg even if i'm full buffed,but they are equipped with dragon amulet + magna/daen rha bow together).

i had a strange occurance like this, yesterday. I hit a mid 50s archer, who was unbuffed.... same as I, .... he hit me twice for 58 and 56 consecutively, to my unbuffed 52 barb.... i then hit him with a Beast Attack(5), for all of 71 damage.... that is right, ... 71 damage... now i am in no means the hardest hitting barb out there... but with me unbuffed against a buffed target, i seldom if ever, hit a BA(5) below 600 .... maybe in the low 500s occasionally, but NEVER 71 .... i was completely astounded.... thought possiblly Retal(5), but i got no returned damage... all i took was the 58, and 56 damage... and my health was only down ~100 health..... so i have no clue.... maybe relevant.... maybe not.... later and gl out there fkrs

I have seen this....

I remember when the damage calculation was changed.
It did make all combined damages less than singular damages

example:

80 blunt + 80 peirce + 80 slash would do 20-30 damage total... per tick
but if you cast any kind of armor reduction spell (infuriate, sudden attack)
then the damages raise substantially.

This said, as an archer with
18-22 lightning damage
21-21 slash damage
90-114 peircing damage

my lightning damage becomes an average of
4.32-5.28
my slash becomes an average of
5.04-5.04
and my peircing becomes an average of
21.6-27.36
total damage becomes
30.96-37.68 before damage armor bonus reduction or addition
basic arrow damage added into the calculation should boost the damage by about 15-20 points max

This gives me a sad base damage of less than 45.96-57.68 damage per hit on people my level! wearing armor with an average total of 220 of all combined parts. The damages will be alot less (yes 15 - 30) on people that have high resistance to arrows/lightning/slash.

Thus said... I will look for all peircing bonus points.

If I had all peircing bonus or less scattered damages my attacks would do.
347.2 on the same person.
