Updating Issues

I just downloaded the game and went through the install process.
I created and account and activated it.

When I attempt to run the game, it goes to a screen that asks for username
and password. I enter it and the game appears to start.

I then get a window that says something to the effect of News: Now in Beta stage 6 etc etc and an updater initializes. It downloads 2156 then closes the window. After approximately 2 minutes the same window pops up and downloads 2156 then closes. This repeats itself until I open the task manager and close every instance of the game therin (this last time I had 12
regnumonline.exe running.

Any help would be appreciated.

What Windows version are you using?

If it's Vista, then try installing the game outside Program Files folder

Everyone I have introduced to the game had this problem, including myself (WinXP Pro SP2), there is a post somewhere on this forum that will give you a link that'll allow the game to update.

Edit:
I better just add that you extract the contents into the directory and then run the game, it'll then update fine.

Then I guess you downloaded a broken installer that was available for a few days
