[AMUN] - Open for everyone - Syrtis houses!
Hi everyone!
We're now opening Amun for public testing today. In this version, you'll find the remodeled cities of Syrtis. Any kind of error you encounter related to Quests, NPC's, Collisions, or related to the changes introduced, feel free to post here in this same thread. Those posts irrelevant to the thread's topic will be eliminated. Regards! |

Ok so here's my 2 cents:
First, big thumbs up for the awesome jobs made on these cities, they just look so damn awesome ! Now concerning bugs and collision issues I didn't spot any but I just took a quick look so I might have missed some. However you really need to start optimising and fixing your 3D engine NGD. Fisgael is (still) a big FPS sink, I lost more than 30 FPS in Rae. I know the graphics are much better but there's better looking games I play where I can have almost double the FPS. Also there's some still very harassing engine bugs that are here since years, and especially the one making the white-ish texture ultra shiny at night when using OpenGL + maxed postprocess. Before it only affected forts, now with the new textures the cities and realm walls are just blinding that I have to disable post process. So yes you have made an amazing work but please think about fixing the 3D engine issues that are ruining your work too please. Nice looking city though now the warlock general is in an even more useless postion being at the top of the noble house.

Wow....just wow. Very Impressive work, I'll give you that.
Very well beautiful designed cities, I really liked it. At Dohsim I remained surprised....my FPS, using Direct3D, got a boost of about 10-15FPS. I found only 2-3 problems mainly. I cannot enter Fisgael at all, using Direct3D graphics. This problem has been concerning me since Lamais came. therefore 1.9.4. I do 2 steps, trying to enter Fisgael and the game stops working at all. Using OpenGL, FPS at Fisgael varies from 14-25.(Lost about 5FPS with openGL, Direct3D, can't enter at all) Using Direct3D, Raeraia, FPS varies from 14-30(Lost about 5-10FPS with Direct3D) Other opinions Korsum, is very prone to fall damage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- All this, using lowest possible graphics(From the options before entering the game) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I want is to enter Fisgael using Direct3D... Also, what bugs/glitches will be fixed?

My first impression is the new cities are quite the eye-candy and very elfish, I especially like the oxidized bronze roof theme.
Although you've outdone yourselves aesthetic-wise on Korsum, it's probably my favourite place in Syrtis now. However, there are a few cons to mar the pros as usual although not quite what you'd think. Beforehand, my fps approximately in these cities respectively were as follows (shader 4.0 max settings): 90fps in Raeraia. 70fps in Fisgael. 110fps in Korsum. 120fps in Dohsim. However, in the new cities and towns I receive if anything, better: 110fps in Raeraia. 90fps in Fisgael. 115fps in Korsum. 120fps in Dohsim. Now, the reason I am complaining is because this is completely out of line with other players experiences, who have found themselves missing a good 20-30fps than they previously would get. It shows a lack of consistency that while one gets more, another gets less. For this reason I second Scias' notion to patch up the NG3D engine. I have noticed other irregularities in my performance whilst playing besides this that I have felt should not of occurred, but this isn't the time to go into detail. On a side note; I'm a bit disappointed the graphical rework didn't stretch to encompass the arena, which is certainly showing its age now, sitting next to a sparkly new Dohsim.

The citys and the new arena's are realy cool great job ngd. BUT was this realy needed? The warzone looks still old, and i think allot of the players dont need those cool arena's in the inner realm but in the warzone.
