lighter video settings for old hardware.

hardware config:

cpu: amd tuiron ml40
video: ati x700 128 Mb
ram: 2 Gb
Windows xp sp2

i was used to play with no problem in 1200*800 untill 6 months ago.
With the new restylings game acts really laggy expecially at villages and buildings.

Can you suggest me the lighter video settings for the above hardware?

i used to play with minimal video feuture except the distance of sight.

what to use between Direct 3d and OpenGL?
what between Fixed Pipeline and Shader 2.0?

Set settings as low as possible, and ofc Fixed pipeline.
