In Piranha realm chat is enabled everywhere wz or not, it helps with gathering huge groups but at the same time causes communication problems (not knowing who needs help/lost context, non relevant information given your location) and misunderstandings very often since many don't bother using general chat...

Wasn't that like the whole reason NGD removed realm chat from the warzone?

Afaik Realm chat was mainly removed from wz because information got around too quickly, spoiling hunts and war groups. It also facilitated an easy way for people to form zergs. Zergs ruin the fun in RO IMO, even if you are on the zerging side.
