Actually, we were indeed trending to an new ice age over the last several centuries, as had been the cycle of things for 10's of millions of years. Now, human activities' cumulative effect on the composition of the earth's atmosphere (more particulate matter creating more cloud cover & an albedo sunlight reflection effect by day, but also a thermal blanket by night + the highest % of carbon dioxide, another insulating thermal blanket, that has ever been measured & is likely higher than it's ever been in 10's of millions of years) has offset & at least temporarily derailed that trend. We ARE getting warmer. The data PROVES it. Sadly, each additional degree of warmer temperature differential will effectively double the amount of storm damage done & the costs involved. Anyone else see that monster storm in the north Atlantic over the Easter weekend? It's heart was a unnamed cat. 3 hurricane (unnamed 'cause hurricanes supposed don't exist in the n. atlantic) & it stretched from Canada to Europe in width, over 3000 miles across. Oh, but climate change & global warming is all just alamist propaganda backed by those 98%+ of climatologists NOT on the payroll of big industry & we should never ask these corporations to clean up their act or to not pocket ALL available profits by eliminating all rules restricting them, all costs & cutting that nasty overhead, oh no. The REAL polluters here are all those scientists; they're just jealous & have it in for their betters at those businesses who have most of the human world's money & power. That's the REAL truth, no warming here, oh no, no ... (Can u say BULLSHIT!). Hope all those who're being effected struggle thru this somehow & also what's yet to come, 'cause nothing will change but our weather, & that for the worse. Y?! Money talks, bullshit walks....

Personally, I find the "next ice-age" theory the most probable, since it makes sense. I do not however excuse human activity of being "righteous" or having no impact.
