I'm no where near level 60 yet and I don't have high level grinding experience.

So I wanted to know,

What are the odds of getting those level 60 Legendary gear I see people showing in commerce? What about Great Gems?

How much time does one spend grinding for one of these lucky drops?

I wanna know what expectations I should have.

Very low. You be lucky if you drop one legendary item and even more so to get a good one. 99.99% of the lvl 60 legendary stuff ppl show are boxed items.

However a special with good resists and the right bonus will go a long way.

Great gems are sadly also very rare.

I've dropped legendary gear twice in my whole time playing this game. First was at level 53, I dropped an offhand sword. The second was an elven staff. Both had REALLY good stats. But we're talking two legendary drops in years.. so don't pin your hopes on dropping anything useful. I have dropped a few +15 ele gems, which can be traded for mags in exchange for legendary gear.

To be honest, you've got more chance dropping a decent gem than boxing one. And it's cheaper :D

the best item I ever dropped was an epic lv 50 staff, 7cs 7int
Ive never dropped legendary and the highest ele gem I dropped was +12 light
(recently got a 24hc gem too)

unless you're extremely lucky (which is just as usefull when boxing)
I suggest you either get a fortune, of xim or mags, or just get good friends/clan

In the years of playing this game, I dropped only one legendary conj bracelt, quite a few magical and epic items, but in term of usefulness not so much, most of time better off using special items with good stats. I dropped some high lvl special +7cs gloves for both conj and lock, and 2 pairs of high lvl +4, +5 as barb leggings.

As for gems, i conside myself very lucky, dropped many great gems, some good ones like as and cs+7 or lighting+15, bad ones like piecing gems and hc gems.

In my experience you will have better chance to drop some great gems than some usefull epic or legendary gears. Gears with good stats combined with decent resists beats lucky boxes a lot of times.

I've grinded many toons to 60 & only dropped one legendary item shortly after they were introduced, & it was while supporting another on conj. It's been my experience & I contend it is true, that drops as a system have had their %'s tinkered with over the last 2 years. Comparing then with now, it is by far no longer as easy to drop & what does drop is noticeably of poorer material quality &/or usually possesses inferior or undesired enchantment bonuses. This also seems to be the case with boxes as well over the same time period. The %'s tend to spit out crap with crap qualities. Simply put, it has increasingly & observably become much, much more difficult & expensive overall to obtain high quality gear with highly desired enchantment combinations of high lvl value thru grinding or boxing. As a result, I refuse to drop-grind or box at all anymore. Period:warning:

P.S.: yes, yes, to obi-fay u listen ... get any gears at all near your own lvl that have high slash & pierce resists & make do til better comes along. Tho some may disagree, armor resists are more important imho than bonus enchantments anyhoo'.

Drop chance in this game... it's just a joke... Champion of the Regnum has worst pay-to-play system called freemium. Game without currency (gold is useless)... You can't buy good item by normal way. You can't get it from quest or grind. You must buy premium boxes for good gear. And don't tell me that boxes have low chance to get nice item. 95+% of epic/legendary items comes from premium boxes...

You think that they will change this game? New roadmap? They don't want to make this game better for players. The one thing they care is money. If I'm wrong why they won't change this absurd system? Old code? or what lols.

I dropped 15 slash and 14 lightning gems the same day. Although some ppl have never dropped a good gem, its all luck.

for each character ive levelled to 60, i tend to drop one powerful (usually elite level or something i think) item per character. And one +5+ gem of some sort.

the item can come at any level (my first was a level 16 bow whith rly good stats) and the gem i find comes somewhere past lvl 45+.

i just wanted ot say that getting legendary etc items doesn't seem to affect your winning ability hugely. i mean, yea you see uber equipped players and they seem to have fun (Lucky Luke the archer or maybe some other barbs), but overall they still die.

if it ever gets annoying, feel free to report via ticket so the GMs can check the items over.

I bought 2x loot scroll few days ago and used it on my lvl60 barb, grinding at imp beach - snakes, yeties and crystal golems. Yes, I dropped like 10 items with it, all of them absolutelly unusable, not even special but normal.

All in all, drop system in CoR became a crap.

there is so incredibly much bullshit in this post. where the hell do you think NGD should get their money from? Do you think those guys do their job voluntarily? JUST BY TRADING, you can get yourself very good equip.
And if you are even too stupid to trade, you might just drop something from the dragons.
If this doesn't help, too, go collect some magnanites in the morning. Everything is about trading. You won't get any decent eq if you do not trade with others. A LOT of players I know never bought any ximerin equipment and can compete with other high-end box-buyers.

I though agree that Regnum's drop system is useless

If you're anything like me you have 0% chance.

All in all, drop system in CoR became a crap.

You are implying that it was at some point not crap?

To the OP:

Unfortunately the chances of dropping anything is low. You might get lucky to drop a legendary but who knows what that drop would be *cough conjurer gloves*.

If you willing to go the money route, I wish you luck. When diamond boxes was first released, I must have bought about 20 of them before I got an actual legendary item. Yes it was gloves. Most people in my clan can bear witness to the amount of rage displayed.

My advice to you if you want good gear. Get a mid-level character and buy him a light horse and a manganite booster and spend about 30 minutes every day just collecting magnanites. Use this to trade for decent gear if you can find them.

I remember good times in Regnum. Some years ago there were no boxes, you could rent mount from NPC. I've been playing in RO for about 4-5 years. I dropped two epic items and two great gems. I spent lots of hours in grind, belive me. They added resist upgrades for armor, legendary stuff and other sh**... and drop chance is still the same. You can't talk about balance between premium and non-premium player. Skill isn't everything as many ppl say. If you fight with person with the same skill as ur... but he has legendary stuff from boxes and boss jewellery... u just have no chance aganist him.

They can get their money from other premium shop stuff. They don't need to ruin balance. Take yourself out of your shoes, put yourself into the shoes of another person. I mean new player. Ohh sry... you would buy boxes to show NGD how their job is well done ;)

Duoble loot scrolls as the name says ,only accelerate /time number of drops not imply that you will get better items.

Personaly i've used over 30 ,3 x loot scrolls, and i can tell you, you will not drop anything good, just the formula is the same: 2 scrolls will stuck with staves ,3-th scroll you will drop some other items but very rare good ,and again 2 stuck with staves and 3-th other items.

Going by subjective perception of many players, drop rate was lowered by a good bit when drop scrolls where introduced. In addition to that, boosts like Raven's 100-200% exp/loot over several hours, multiple days per week, were basically removed after the merge with Horus. So it's even worse than displayed in this thread.

Gear...

You can't hope to get really good epics/legendaries unless you have money to throw in the game. Lots of it too :D

Best bet is:
1) Use specials with good resits - these are still good gear.
2) Depending on class use WM gear. For barb and Knight they're pretty good.
3) Trade for good gear with mags.

U can get good epics/legendaries for mags. There are people who are really well kitted out and only did so via mag trading. A few half hour sessions (preferably in quiet periods) of mag farming could set you up.

Ultimately your play style will depend on your gear. If u can't take dmg then you'll have to play safer. If you can give dmg then you can play more aggressively, etc. I.e. modify your play style to gear.
