im really really pissed...i had a pvp with AwD today...while all his spells hit me as usual i wasted 2 riposts and 1 shield bash when he just ran out of range???this is not the first time that it happend...so whats happening???

That happened to me lots of lots of lots (80%) of times i had a pvp or i was in fort wars. Was just waste magic for nothing.
Shield Bash and Ripost have a casting time of 1 second. I've wasted lots of spells as well, even after the update. Sometimes when enemies run out of range I don't waste them though.
Btw AWD, I thought you said that was always a bug...if you think it is a bug, you shouldn't "abuse" it ;)

All warlock spells have casting time....and they all worked....with ripost and sb i only stand there for a sec no spell animation and no efect.after the 1 sec my char can move normaly....

Yes when I am leveling my warlock, I can get a mob following me, and when it turn I can cast lightning.
As long as the mob doesn't move behind an obstacle the spell will still cast no matter what range.
All warlock spells have casting time....and they all worked....with ripost and sb i only stand there for a sec no spell animation and no efect.after the 1 sec my char can move normaly....
Have you played a warlock in war?

I mainly manage to reach the enemy if they go out of range, but a few times with Meteor and Will Domain(especially those 2) the spell will fail.

Really annoying indeed... The out range fix should be primarly for those who have no range at all!
Off-topic: If I cast shield bash on a knocked down enemy he will not be dizzy right? Can NGD correct at least this???

He should be. IMO stuning fist on ambushed enemy works fine.

This is actually a really big problem for mages, the only two spells whose effects work on knocked down people are: Another knockdown, and mindpush. If I cast meteor on a knocked down person he will take damage but will not be dizzy. If I cast beetle swarm on a knocked down person, he will take damage (ridiculous hehe) but will not be under the "can't attack" effect, with ivy he takes damage but isn't stuck, and so on and so forth.

Can be good then if it works so for all the classes, but considering that my only dizzying spells so often is wasted cause the out of range matter... :looking:

I've also noticed sometimes if I cast a spell and the enemy moves out of range the spell fails.

No, please not.
Imagine getting knocked, not able to defend yourself, and when you get up you are dizzy.
This would make the first one who gets a knock in would win.

I don't know, if it will be like this a warlock will have too much advantage, a marksman too, and a warjurer, after the spells hit :D
but yes necrovaron, it's a bug, I didn't see him casting though :D so it's kinda hard. It sucks that he wasted his mana and I only had to run to destroy it, I didn't cast a spell :s I couldn't steal it instead XD (j/k)

you're right indeed. Hope I would get my shield bash work properly when the enemy stands (only dizzying spell I have right now)

Yes, you have to count, and when Trip duration is gone.. dizzy him faaaaast :D

Yes necro i did play a lvl50 lock in war hunt and i have trained with him....i know you have the same problem but knights(im not gonna say warriors,i didnt play a barb in a long time) have it much much worse...

this little thing is one of the reasons i dont play on aries that much if i chase someone i use balestra he gets cought in it but with the lag it will cast but wont hit and now with the casting delays try casting a shield bash in time

I hate this f**king bug! its a wasto of time and mana because this retarded ass mage just stands there waving his hands on a glowing stick and cant move! a spell's range should be based the moment it was intendedly castede because of Gdanm spell lag :mad: :fury: :devil:
