User disabled: verbal abuse

Hi

About a week ago I can not enter the game (user is disabled message). A popup window says: "User is disabled. Verbal abuse. More details: abuse@ngdstudios.com.ar" That's all.
Also I wrote an e-mail, but a week ago I have not received any response. How do I know how long the ban and why I became disabled?

The reason for the the account been disabled is quite clear - verbal abuse
meaning you were rude verbally in game sufficiently enough to get a ban.

As for the length of time, you will just have to wait until NGD gets back to you

Maximum period would be forever, but they could give you week, two, a month maybe. Pity they don't write with a reason the length of the ban

Could it be your name? I know someone who got an infraction point for saying less than that. I certianly find your name offencive >.< You know there are young kids who play this game. Probably some even under the age of 13. I think they should make you change your name.

the popup that informs you about being banned also displays time when the ban will be lifted, unless it's perma ban afaik. oh yeah, your name too, some people had names that weren't offensive in any way yet they got banned for inappropriate name, so go figure.

If they come with name problems when (s)he is already level 50 it is too late imo.
Let her (I guess of name and character :p) then at least change name, for ingame I have never had any problems with any kind of verbal attack from her (and yes, I grinded often at same place :p).

When you picked this name, NGD didnt say anything about the language in it.

I personally think NGD should give you a name change scroll.

Since they don't have a filter, my guess is that they don't do anything proactively, like make Kailler read the list of newly-created characters every morning to see if any of then are naughty ("Legolas 42, Legolas 459, Legolas MCMXXVIII, Aaargh!!!"). If complaints come in, then they can decide whether to take action.

Filters may help, but are imperfect as well. It would take a sophisticated parser to allow, say, Sir Dick of York, or Philip K Dick, but not BomD, at which point he'd just change the 'i' to a '1' etc until he fooled the parser.

Maybe people complained about the OP's name that that triggered a review. If that was the case, I think that could be clearly spelled out in the offense message, and the violator given a chance to change his name.

Someone probably turned them in for their name and they got a ban. NGD can't monitor every characters name that starts in regnum. Recently they have started giving infractions for saying less than that in the forums. Raideniza It isn't impossible because even though the TOS says 13 that isn't going to stop kids from breaking the rules. I know of several kids under the age of 13 that play in Ignis. I don't really agree, but they can do what they want. I think they should give them a name change scroll.

When my husband got a 3 day ban for verbal abuse he had to log into the website and go to account info to see why he was banned. Not the forums but the main site. I would try checking there and see what the ban is for. xD

Kudos to NGD for enforcing their EULA. It makes a better environment for everyone to play in. A better environment means holding on to more newbies that might try the game and be scared off by hateful crap. (There are other f2p games out there that police their games far better e.g. Runescape, and it's no coincidence they have 6 million + players).

About the only leg the OP has to stand in is the fact that he might speak English as a second language and not fully understand the words he's using.

Either way, one things for sure. NGD's is not going to adress you with reguards to this issue on this thread (they generally dont do that with issues like this). The orignal poster's just gona have to wait the 4-6 week reply period.

Lolz i dont care that ALL 6 of my chars are from Robert Jorden book series called the wheel of time i'm pretty damned crazy for them and they are epically awesome reads. As i said all my chars can be found in there most of their names are relevent to class.

Samhael lvl 50 hunter (purposely misspelled as Sammael was taken, means hell hound evil immortal dude makes a messenger of his bleed from every pore on his body because he could)

Gawyn Trakand lvl 30 knight (Knight in training. Dude went crazy and killed a bunch of friendly people because he thinks the main char in the books killed his mom and kiddnapped his sister, he actually married her)

Rahvin lvl 30 lock (Another Dark immortal wizard, Enslaves Gawyns mother to his will)

Rogosh eagle-eye lvl 10 marks (hero of legend, never misses)
