It is hard to understand it so that the magus hits twice not to say three times more than the shooter, but he from the walking stick are only hitting.

I don't want to go into pro/con debate of SM here, but the fact that you died with over half mana left and not having casted one single defensive buff (SP no cooldown, acrobatic no cooldown, spell elude no cooldown, sotw no cooldown), actually, the only buff casted was maneuver ^^ makes it pretty rich of you coming here and daring to complain about SM.
Especially considering that you as a marks have probably the best defense whatsoever against SM in the first place. And on top of that you blocked/evaded 9 of 15 attacks.
