Well, i enjoyed the event. I have one suggestion to NGD guys: do more present in the game.
I'm new in Regnum compared others (6 months), but between this time i can count in a hand how much time i saw a developer online in the game, talking with ppl.
War Event may be adjusted to all. We have so few guys in Syrtis about 11 pm GMT. But we still tried some ignis rps. ;P Well, gratz for this event and please, try get closer to us.

I got a video of when Alsius and Ignis clashed about 200m east of pinos between Niclam, Kailer and Chilko - 8 reg alsians and about 40 igs. I will post tomorrow once I manage to get it sized properly and cleaned up.

Unfortunately I do not have videos of when I smacked down Surak (nothing like seeing something 10% your size whooping on you) or when we gang banged Niclam while he was logged as his Royal Canadian Mountie for syrts in Trelle.

This little event thing was fun, a pleasant change away from the norm. I think Chilko turned his damage reception off when we had him within 4% of dying a cpl times tho, its irritating to see like 10 or 12 hits @ zero dmg. Recommendations for next time would be better time promulgation (keep us updated when it would really occur) as some of us were just kind of standing around for and hour or so wondering when it will occur and then give us a time slot so we know how long we will have you guys on. Only reason why I mentioned that is that you guys seemed to head out in the middle of an invasion attempt.

Oh and get Kailer a new PC system, something newer than a commodore 64, caleco vision or intellivision. I think he crashed more than any Alsian during and after the fights.

On the whole I have really enjoyed the event, even though the server decided
to instantaneously combust last night.

When the realm chat was opened a few of us were hunting around Syrtis.
I think all of us decided swap to general for a bit as it was too busy in there.
This wasnt a good idea as we decided to have a quick look at Syrtis gate on the way
back to Alsius to take part in the event, what did we see??? THE WHOLE OF
FLIPPING SYRTIS IN FRONT OF US. (Did get us home a lot faster though

)

Anyways, thanks ngd for taking the time on a Sunday especially to be with us
bunch of moaning bums, Your efforts were really appreciated.

P.S. Also thanks To Surak for popping in to let me know NGD had fixed the
'Invisible' party hat for us goats in time for the event

Nice job for trying to improve where quest failed, these events would give more benefit for both parts (devs as game representers and players as customers). You could even do bigger event (or combo of PvP event in arena, RvR fort and RvR open field, also 3-realm fight, mob invasions etc) and dump this boring quest, and making hats during event just armor 0, not -80% hp too (after event -80%). Cause atm there's no anniversary spirit, since none can wear those hats in war during event.

Also, I thought devs would use realm mounts and realm armor but oh well.

About future events: as Nightchill said,we have daily fort wars so you could introduce some new fun besides mass fort wars.
You could do some mob + mob leaders invasions/boss attack on towns, where everyone can take part in it. Right now, this was in war zone, event and anni quest with mobs lvl 30+, which was kinda impossible for low level players and newbies to take part in celebration. IMO, this was more oriented to high lvlers, and for anni celebration, every player, no matter of lvl, should be included somehow. I d like if you d pay attention on this fact in future. When you celebrate anniversary of game, you should involve all players in it, even those newbies who just came in game. We, higher lvl players, can sure try to help them solve quest, but lvl 10 for example sees party mob as impossible with or without party.

Also, opening again PvP Island during event would be good move though I don't understand your idea to make that island PvP since you made Duel banners now(which btw needs some visual borders).

And one thing to say about quest: its boring because:
mobs are in water, on mountains, on almost unreachable places for archers (and totally unreachable for warriors), dancing in rocks too and so on. I did quest with barb and conju, because:
-support conju needs to turn into sm to solve quest if solo (like every other class can do solo), so support conju needed party to buff others to get a kill
-barb needs ranged unit to buff him (Onslaught, Owth) so he could get a kill when archer is shooting on mob that is unreachable (far in water, mountain, behind it etc)
-and because barb areas helped us to kill party mob who was dancing on top of Alsius realm wall, displaying to me (archer) "not facing" message non stop.

The only funny part of it was that enemies came to our lands or met us in theirs so we had some nice team vs team fights. Nothing else was funny or interesting in quest, at least for me. Uh and Syrtis hat...

To sum up, I m glad that devs improved their communication with community, and showing us these days they re trying hard to improve aspects that were weak in past. Fof that, big thumb up

It definitely was worth waiting :-)
The event was different and a lots of fun even for me (lvl30)
So like we can hope for something like "army leader" in the future ;-P
sssshhh .. ok ok allready.
Waiting for the crafting :-) oh and also more quest, the inner realm is still pretty boring remember and its the main reason of noobs leaving.

The event was fun even if it totally killed the server! Players do like some crazy thing to happens!

PS: Please no more copy paste quests for next events! I'd like a quests more oriented RvR (e.g. take all ennemies bases)

I didn't make it due to my timezone, however I'd like to congratulate NGD for at least reaching out to the community and holding the celebration with us. Although it didn't go smoothly, a lot had fun, and that's what counts.
