I really don't feel hunters are gonna be ruined in this update.

PS: Tested it on Amun, and it was ok, just need to get used to the new moves.

I don't say that the class is ruined by spell "changes"

It is ruined by general game design errors. What shall a hunter hunt now or do in war? If I see, that there are 2 or more GG's online, I don't stick to my Hunter. All other Classes are much better in groups 2+.

It would be nice if we had some usable group based skills. Stalker just doesn't cut it for a group use skill. We need some sort of aura we can use that benefits the group - and gives hunters a reason to use it. (Unlike the horrible camo dead body).

I agree... hunter will not be ruined by this update

PVP (assassinations)
We will have many more advantages to use while assassinating people....
It is almost an even exchange.

FORT WAR
We will suffer from the change to dual shot....
Then again we can use strafe + basic shot attacking while moving.
Then again we can turn while shooting (as long as we do not move forward or backward) We are more like turrets now...

Hunter will have to use pets to win most 1vs1 duels

I'd say for me it changes nothing in fort wars. Short bows is made for assasination, it has neither dmg or range needed for fort war.

I carry 3 types of long bows and 2 types of short bows...
1) fast short bow = buffing bow
2) medium short bow = dual shot / repetition
3) medium long bow range 30 = for plinking
4) slow long bow range 30 = long range ensnare / fort war plinking
5) slow long bow range 25 = fort doors / power ensnare

I carry long bows but do not use any long bow attack skills because they are very weak and pointless.
1. Shield peirce = crap damage
2. Break apart = bad, when skill ends the enemy gains 400 hp or more.
also the - constitution does not drain life off someone who already has more than 400 damage done to them.

How can you say short bow does not have the damage needed for fort wars?
3 shortbow hunters are more valuable than 3 long bow hunter in fort war....

Any bow can be used for assassination.....
It is an art, with many tools...

The update will change war for you... wait and see..

Well a slow long bow with maneuver is way better than any short bows in war (especially since you will not hit for a long while with range 25).

In a fort fight....If I'm not camo'd with pet on wrath...waiting for someone to try and terror so I can cancel it...I'm not doing something right.

Dual shot at 7s sucks...but I'll get over it.

I disagree...
One conjurer with area heal will or a heal over-time skill cast can defend against any hunters long bow attacks.

It is better to sit back and do basic shots with long bows to herd the enemy into a cluster. Then change to short bow (use camouflage and run into the enemy group). Wait for terror and cast repetition shot.

Yet another reason short bow is better for wars...

Yes dual shot with seven seconds cooldown is not cool to me, but at least we can still shoot our basic arrows. I would however, be happy with a knife (changes name to Riddick)
