All movement speed in the game is a percentage... applied as a*b*c type of formula, not saturative like damage maths. You can check this yourself with Defensive support, cast it and then Horn of the wind, but you won't run at 100% still even though Def support is -25% and Horn of the wind is +25%.

This means that Horn of the wind + Mobility gives 137% not the expected 135%. More examples:
Onslaught 5 + Horn of the wind + Spring 5 = 1*1.3*1.25*1.25 = 2.03125 (203%, capped at 50% due to the movement speed cap).
Caltrops 5 + Horn of the wind + Onslaught 5 + Spring 5 = 1*0.5*1.25*1.3*1.25 = 1.015625 (101%)
Mind push 5 + Spring 5 = 1*0.25*1.25 = 0.3125 (31%)

So to the above posters, it definitely does not work that way anymore. You can't cancel max slows even with all speed buffs. Just try it and see. ^^

So you mean that the speed additions are applied taking your current speed as a base instead of your initial speed? If that was the case, then it would be impossible to immobilise people using speed debuffs, but I'm certain I have seen knights who are immobilised or near enough immobilised without having been subjected to an immobilise spell...

Who is interested in some Amun testing, provided it hasn't already been done? :D

can anyone tell me if using the spell Curse at level 4 or 5 is viable in PvP?

Imo, blindness better.

Imo, blindness better.

At lvl4 they both blindness and curse reduces your hit-chance by 40% however Curse has a shorter cooldown, cost less mana and also reduces the targets spell focus by the same amount. I don't see how blindness could be better unless you're willing to take it to level 5 and even then its only useful on classes who use normal hits.

But aside from that, Is the drop in hit-chance and spell focus even noticeable or is it just another victim of the screwed up RNG?

Miss mechanics affect both spells and hits. However it's hard to say how it works.
P. S. Curse actually can be good only on archers under drastic HC penalty from their buffs. And both spells actually screwd by Random.

pffts

just ask hepha..he really IS the master lock

if i had to pick the 2 best warlocks in this game,i would choose hephaestus II first then Inkster 2nd.thier spell combo's when fighting are flawless.besides hepha is a cutie and his video's are fun to see.

but seriously, its best to ask one of the pro's...regnum with these beacons can really effect how a lock skillz up.locks have the biggest range of spells,a spell to counter almost everything.its a hard class but alot of fun and very rewarding...and the bonus is,you are not like any other class..you only need to get a 7+7 cast speed staff + 7CS gloves unlike all the rest.a locks damage isnt dependant upon the items(which ngd need to impliment fast btw)..cast speed is everything...but in all honesty, dont play lock if your ping id high, the difference between lock vs lock is so minute...the lock with the better ping wins most times regardless of skill
