Maybe with some imaginacion....

You could say, MattEslaPolla which translates to both Mattdoesrock(as in 'is awesome') and Matt is a cock (Matt is a Penis and Matt is a Rooster both work for that)

Taking in account Matt sexual preferences have been not drawn yet, we just know by looking at the Matt - Golem relationship that Matt likes to take the leading role usually associated with the male, hence 'Matt is a penis'

However, im not sure if 'Es la polla' can also mean that in the spanish speaker countries outside of Spain itself, but it could work, at least for the spanish translation.

Looking at the use of the ellipses, maybe you think that sounds ofensive?, if that bothers you, calling someone a penis is awkward at best, and people with laugh at you at worst, because only a 4 years old would insult someone that way. Anyway, Matteslapolla only translates correctly to Mattisawesome, for mattisapenis you have to say mattesunapolla, thats the whole point of puns, tho.

Every language will likely need to have its own set of puns, if piz takes the pun heavy route. Also, piz can try to keep the panels with these jokes on situations with lots of stuff happening so translators can try to switch the order of the lines or just making their own silly comment in place of the pun while keeping the original unchanged.

You can twist it even more: Polla also means chicken, use 'es una' to lead people into believing that it means Matt is a penis, then have piz get it wrong and call Matt chicken (coward)

how about polish? There's no way to have Piz doing a sadface with our words.
We can go with Matt is awesome or Matt rules, but we do not have sufficient grammar to do "does stuff that can also mean other slightly more offensive stuff". Our rooster won't mean cock. Our doing doesn't mean doing sex. All I can come up with right now is "MattDoesItGood" which in polish is "MattRobiDobrze" but it kinda sounds too obvious for a second layer sex sentence. It's more of a first layer there ;p Because Doing without any "good" won't mean sex, ARGH! I NEED HALP THAR.

I bet with German or French it can be easily obtained cause of the same language roots like English.

Actually that isn't a bad idea... Piz speaks english. So maybe a little *Explaining the grammar (like in many of your translated comics) wont be that bad.

Even in spanish sexual innuendo depends on the country itself... Don't burn your mind trying to find a translation for a grammar joke :P

Looks a lot more defined with the ungrained paper, but... I think I might prefer the previous page. Probably just me though.

As for the green sensitivity thing, your visual cortex is more likely to insert green where it doesn't exist than other colours also. See Lilac Chaser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilac_chaser) for an example (not, it's not a cocktail).

Print On-Demand books are not printed until ordered, that kind of goes with the concept of 'on-demand'. That is not to say that they are not available through traditional channels such as bookstores. Most bookstores subscribe to databases of books 'in print' - either online databases, CD-ROM editions or the good old-fashioned quarterly catalogue. This means that if someone walks into a bookstore and asks for your book, the staff will be able to look up the title, find out how to order the book, and obtain a copy for you. Of course, this whole process is so new (less than five years old) and the book industry is so old and musty, that it's not always that simple and you will often have to educate store clerks about the 'on-demand' principle.

I went to one site, and for 10 copies of the comic with full colour pages of a count of 200 and a full hardback laminated cover, the price was £161.91

The quote was based on 10 copies at a unit cost of £15.116. If you can get people to pre order you could publish the comic without any outlay to yourself. Obviously the more you have printed the cheaper it is per copy. You would have to add a few £ to give you some pay for your work, but its a reasonable price

mmm you should try going to a digital offset press, it should be a lot cheaper. Most printing systems (including the most used small, medium and big format ofsset) have a high initial cost because they need to create a matrix to print a design onto paper but digital offset uses a variety of techniques that work around using a matrix, like high end inkjet printers and xerography. Avoid medium format offset press (mostly used in the magazine industry)

Only problem is they may not want to take a small order if they are flooded with work (at least in a xerography press, because it takes a lillte extra time to "erase" the cylinder and they might rather print a 10.000 order continously than one of 100).

Now (this is important) I've only read about this, wich means I only know what's been said in class. It's up to you to research for the best prices.

Personally piz i think people would go nuts for stuff you've already done (especially Evendim I'd like him on a black mug xD) but why just posters? Also you could do some original scenes from a zerg war or smaller pieces, inkster punching AwD in the face. Wudy biting valorious rageway's leg whilst compoundious knees him in the groin, and ofc Irae - Redstar - Dky three way fight would sell good IMO :D

I am almost Positive NGD would allow you to merchandise stuff you made (maybe even enlist you to make more merchandise for them) for a % of your profits not sure how that would settle with you but meh.

That's actually not a bad idea Gawyn, i know cafepress (www.cafepress.com) provide a service to print items onto various merchandise at no cost to the artist, so maybe Piz could also raise funds that way as they sent a small commission to the artist from each sale

Yeah, all the drawings you could imagine or order by mail, I'd do them specially for the prints. I can't really afford to do anything besides them right now

It's all nice what you guys say about printing and stuff, but the 20.000zł initial fund is a must in Poland for the cheapest way, and one unit would cost more than 10 euro without shipping. I can't print out ONE comic after somebody orders it on the internet, it does not work this way.
Like El Naso said, the matrix design etc is kinda expensive and it's not a one-shot thing. I also have been told that 20.000zł fund is just for 1000 copies. To make it profitable I'd have to print out 50.000 copies. It's a no-go.

Believe me, I have friends in printing company that could do such thing in HALF the price. So, imagine, I am giving you HALF the original cost. I am not able to pay even for digital enhancement of my comic, because it's a bad quality for print.

I cannot also print it out in other country and sell it on ebay without any company and taxes provided. It all has to be legal and done in Polish way if companies will print such thing out in huge amounts, I'm sorry guys, really. My mom has a business and she wanted to help me, but I can't go over it illegally or without money. But I don't have to pay taxes if I sell prints on Ebay in a retail way, so it's all fun and I can make some money out of it.

My guess is people would love personal portraits, mobs, war scenes and certain scenes from the comic. Personal Example: I wouldn't mind paying for the pictures of DVF (even if i already have downloaded and printed them), original artwork on DVF (maybe even the first page where i was revealed), more personal portraits cuz I'm greedy like that, Various mobs like the spiders, dragons, epic mobs.

You could picture a huge battle about to crack at a relam's gate, iconic stuff like a relam hero holding his relam's flag up high in a victory pose after barely comming through a tough battle, funny stuff (you are good at comming up with theese) and so on. If an entire relam can relate to it there's a better chance to make more out of one poster :]

Me drawing just a realm flag is using NGD's merchandise. Me drawing Torg is just basing on said merchandise. I don't think I could sell something NGD guys drawn first.

Of course placing said realm flag within a drawing is more acceptable, but battle and after battle scenes were already in my mind.

I would definitely place an option to request a certain scene/picture/portrait which would cost a bit more than something made for everyone to buy. I think that would be fair.
